Art in Sacramento The Department of Art at Sacramento State offers students a introduction to the  world of the visual arts, and to the Western and Non-Western cultures . Students are able to explore art courses in art education, art history, ceramics, drawing, new media art, painting, printmaking, and interdisciplinary sculpture. Local art works are exhibited at many of the local and regional galleries, Art Walks, Artists Open Studios, Pop up Art locations and Art organization such as PlacerArts.org, BlueLineArts.Org, Sacramento Fine Art Center.  These Orgs. provide facilities for exhibiting current Art and special events. With the improving economy, Art is returning to its place in decorative considerations, and as a collectible About Sacramento Sacramento has a Mark in History along with California and the San Joaquin Valley all known as the Nations Breadbasket. Sacramento offers a range of educational and historic attractions. These  historic references expanded the growth and potential from East and West via Passage over the Sierra’s. These trail blazers can be traced by visiting the Railroad Museum's massive collection of antique locomotives, and the documented development of todays modern rail systems. Transportation was then and remains by rail, water from the city's lovely waterfront, and now air. This city is the hub of transporting agricultural goods to and from northern and southern California, and east coast to west coast locations.
